The story behind The Angel Shop Woodborough began in 2020, when I created Guardian Angel Gifts following a bereavement and what I can only describe as a complete life reset.
The inspiration came from a very special poem, My Guardian Angel, written by my mum. Its message of love, comfort and knowing that someone is always watching over us became the heart of the business.
What started with handmade gifts and jewellery soon took me around the craft fair circuit and into pop-up shops, meeting some wonderful people along the way.
Then came The Angel Shop.
Opening a permanent shop wasn’t part of some carefully thought-out master plan – it was much more of an impulse! But sometimes the opportunities that feel unexpected are the ones that are meant to be. I’m fairly sure there were a few angels at work behind the scenes.
Today, you’ll find us at Woodborough Yard, surrounded by a wonderful collection of independent businesses in a truly lovely setting. The shop is filled with jewellery, gifts, beautiful things for the home and thoughtful pieces chosen to bring a little comfort, happiness or meaning to someone’s day.
And now our story is growing again.
By bringing The Angel Shop online, we can spread that same love a little further and welcome people who may not be able to visit us in person.
